WordPress Website Design
WordPress is a state-of-the-art publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time (source: WordPress.org).
If you’ve read a blog or a news site like The New York Times in the last ten years, then you’ve already experienced a WordPress website.
I help businesses, bloggers and organizations set up their websites using the premier content management system (CMS) available. Email me directly to get started on your site today.
Search Optimized Websites
A well designed website is critical to the success of your business, but just as important is how intelligently the site is optimized to attract visitors from the major search engines like Google. Without proper optimization, you’re missing out on free traffic.
I take a holistic approach to building WordPress websites that includes blog creation, properly organized pages and the inclusion of social networking tools. Once your pages are live they will be shareable across the web by anyone who visits. Even better, you will empower potential customers and fans to leave comments on your Facebook and Twitter profiles without leaving your site.
Take a look at one of the websites I helped create called The Drift:
Simple, Clean Design
I do not build flash based websites because they aren’t as friendly to the search engines as HTML. In other words, every site I produce focuses on growing traffic and converting visitors into customers and fans — not on featuring shiny objects.
Here are some of the elements of design I use to create killer pages:
- Landing Page Optimization — I focus on creating pages that hold people’s attention and encourage them to take specific actions based on your goals (like filling out lead generation forms or clicking on links to other pages).
- The Thesis Theme — Your website will be built using a customizable theme, meaning it will be completely unique from anything else on the web. Even better, when you or your team take over management of the site, it is incredibly easy to publish new content and search optimized blog posts.
- Keyword Friendly URL’s — One of the more subtle parts of an effective site is creating content (pages) that are unique to each topic your business covers. For example, instead of one page dedicated to two different products or services, your site will have one page for each that has keywords in the address (ex. www.YourSiteName.com/Product-Description). This is just one of the best practices I follow for all of my clients.
Let’s talk about the specific needs of your business or organization. Please email me directly with your questions and for project estimates.
