Small Business You Should Know: Birdseye Builders

by Joe on January 25, 2010

You can tell a lot about a building company by their office.

I’m stoked to be working with Birdseye Building for many reasons, including:

  1. The entire group of builders and designers are a fun group of guys who love what they do and are genuinely excited about sharing their passion with others.
  2. Birdseye is an established business with a killer track record designing some amazing homes and buildings.
  3. My friend Bob Pomeroy, architect at Birdseye, is a fellow Michigan native.

Those are all solid enough reasons to love a business, but the reason these guys hooked me is because of the offices they design buildings and hand craft custom furniture in: a big red barn.

Nothing like this place…really. The barn is an original (well, a totally restored version of the original). They have a winding staircase that leads to a hidden meeting room, a kick-ass studio, and…well, if you really want to see the place, just check out the Birdseye Barn Restoration Gallery.

Next time I visit I’ll have my HD camcorder in tow, so look for some awesome videos of the crew working in their design studio and workshop soon!
